About the Opportunity
A well-established organisation seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Project Analyst to join the team on an initial six-month contract. This role has been created to provide additional support across several key payroll initiatives, including the implementation of a new Time & Attendance solution and the rollout of Enterprise Agreement (EBA) changes.
This is a hands-on opportunity suited to a payroll professional who enjoys working across both project and operational environments. You will play a key role in testing, validation, payroll compliance activities, and supporting business-critical payroll outcomes during a period of change.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Payroll Leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Time & Attendance system implementation activities, including system testing, UAT execution, defect management and implementation readiness.
- Assisting with the testing and validation of Enterprise Agreement and payroll configuration changes, ensuring accurate payroll outcomes.
- Performing payroll reconciliations, data validation, back-pay calculations and compliance checks.
- Working closely with Payroll, HR, project stakeholders and external vendors to support successful project delivery.
- Providing additional payroll processing and administration support during peak periods.
- Maintaining testing documentation, process maps and project records to support audit and governance requirements.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this position, you will demonstrate:
- Previous payroll experience within a medium to large organisation operating under multiple Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, interpretation and payroll governance requirements.
- Proven experience supporting payroll projects, system implementations, upgrades or transformation initiatives.
- Exposure to systems such as UKG/Kronos, Chris21/iChris, or similar payroll and workforce management platforms.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
