Play a pivotal HR generalist role supporting a national multi-site industrial business who is part of a global market leading organisation.

$145K p.a. True generalist role in a global market leader, small close-knit HR team Olympic Park. Heavy industry

About the Organisation:

Our client is a well-known, global, market-leading commercial organisation within the heavy industry & industrial sector, providing critical solutions and services to major resources customers across Australia. With a large global headcount and presence, but you will specifically be working within a smaller brand of around 250 employees across multi-site branches nationally.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on People & Culture Business Partner opportunity, supporting a national workforce reporting to the Head of HR, working alongside a HR Business Partner, supported by a shared HR coordinator.

You will partner with managers and employees across corporate and branch locations, providing practical HR advice and managing day-to-day HR operations whilst working on a range of HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a trusted HR generalist and first point of contact for managers across ER, performance and day-to-day people issues.
  • Managing core HR processes across the full employee lifecycle – contracts, onboarding, probation reviews, changes, exits and associated documentation.
  • Providing pragmatic advice on employment relations matters, grievances, investigations and performance conversations, with support from the HR Manager where needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and internal procedures while applying sound judgement and common sense in areas where policies are still maturing.
  • Partnering closely with supervisors, leading hands and managers in both blue-collar and white-collar environments.
  • Supporting HR data integrity and documentation as systems and HR frameworks continue to be developed.

About You:

You are an experienced HR generalist or HR Business Partner who is comfortable working in a close-knit HR team in a broad, hands-on, busy, operational environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Solid generalist HR experience across the employee lifecycle (Senior HR Advisor/HRBP level).
  • Background in mixed blue/white collar environments.
  • Confidence managing ER matters, performance issues, investigations and day-to-day people matters.
  • Ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions and apply practical judgement of matters, through to resolution.
  • Comfort operating in complex multi-site environments, working within ambiguity.
  • Strong senior leadership stakeholder skills, with the ability to coach and support managers and supervisors.

You’re likely someone who enjoys being the steady pair of hands: calm under pressure, commercially aware, and focused on helping the business run smoothly during a critical period.

Additional Requirements/Benefits:

  • Sydney Olympic Park location
  • Parking on-site
  • This is a full on-site position.

Why Apply?

You’ll be partnering closely with leaders and supporting a national workforce in an environment where your judgement, pragmatism and experience will be genuinely valued.

How to Apply:

If your experience reflects the above and you’re energised by the opportunity to partner with a global heavy-industry business through a crucial period, please apply online.
