Payroll Officer

PERSOL are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer / Payroll Support professional to join a well-established organisation based in Maddington on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive payroll team and assist with the smooth day-to-day delivery of payroll. The role would suit someone who is confident working with payroll data, enjoys problem-solving and has strong attention to detail.

The role will involve:

• Supporting end-to-end payroll processing and general payroll administration
• Processing employee changes, new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments
• Checking and validating timesheets, pay rates, allowances, deductions and leave
• Completing payroll reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
• Responding to payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records
• Assisting with payroll reporting and data entry
• Providing general support to the wider Payroll, HR and Finance teams

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous payroll or payroll support experience
• Good understanding of payroll processes and employee entitlements
• Experience interpreting Awards and/or EBAs would be highly regarded
• Strong Excel and general systems skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• A reliable, organised and collaborative approach
