Hays is partnering with a Queensland Government organisation to recruit an experienced Executive Support Officer for a temporary full-time opportunity based in Brisbane.This role will see you provide high-level executive and administrative support to a senior leader within a large and complex government environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of a busy executive office, managing competing priorities while building strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Your new role
Reporting into a senior leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-level executive and administrative support
- Complex diary and inbox management
- Coordinating correspondence, briefing materials and information requests
- Preparing meeting agendas, papers, minutes and action items
- Managing travel arrangements and logistics
- Assisting with financial and administrative processes
- Coordinating office operations, resources and stakeholder communications
- Supporting business improvement initiatives and project-related activities
- Maintaining confidential records and information management systems
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience supporting senior executives within a government or large corporate environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
What you'll get in return

- Full-time position working 40 hours per week
