Working within the Finance division, you will support procurement activities across a diverse and complex environment, partnering with academic, research, and professional teams to source goods and services that help deliver cutting-edge research and education outcomes.
Your new role
Reporting to the Category Manager, you will provide a customer-focused procurement service that supports responsible, efficient, and compliant purchasing across the organisation.Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating end-to-end procurement and tender processes in line with procurement policies and procedures.
- Planning and managing market approaches, including evaluation and recommendation processes.
- Preparing procurement, tender, contract, and variation documentation.
- Partnering with stakeholders to deliver procurement initiatives and achieve value-for-money outcomes.
- Providing procurement advice and support to a broad range of internal stakeholders.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of new procurement systems and processes.
- Building strong working relationships across academic, research, and operational business areas.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in procurement, contracts, or commercial management.
- Experience working with procurement systems, policies, and processes.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, organisation, and prioritisation abilities.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a complex and diverse environment.
