We are seeking a Chinese Cuisine Cook to join our cooking team focusing on preparing and cooking traditional Chinese dishes, including Cantonese and Northern Chinese cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Chinese dishes using traditional ingredients, seasonings and cooking techniques.
- Prepare ingredients and maintain kitchen stations.
- Ensure food quality, taste and presentation.
- Follow recipes and meet customer dietary requirements.
- Assist with menu planning and stock control.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
- Assist with training kitchen staff and apprentices.
Requirements
- Certificate III or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
- At least one year of experience in a Chinese commercial kitchen.
- Practical skills in traditional Chinese cooking.
- Knowledge of Chinese ingredients, seasonings and cooking techniques.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese.
