- Join a large organisation undergoing significant transformation.
- Play a hands-on role in workforce planning and organisational design.
- Support senior leaders with clear communications and analytical insights.
Are you an HR, OD or workforce planning professional who enjoys being in the detail and seeing transformation actually happen?
We’re partnering with a large, purpose-led organisation that is currently going through a significant organisational transformation. The organisation has brought together three previously separate businesses, each with their own operating models and ways of working, and is now moving through the next critical phase of designing and implementing a more aligned workforce structure.
We’re looking for a HR Business Partner to join the team for a 12-month fixed-term contract and get right into the thick of the work.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Senior Manager, you’ll play a hands-on role across the people and workforce side of the transformation, including:
- Developing workforce plans, FTE models and cost scenarios to support future-state structures
- Supporting organisational design, including current and future-state structures, role mapping and position design
- Undertaking workforce and geographic mapping across multiple sites and operational areas
- Supporting span-of-control analysis and structural modelling
- Translating complex workforce data into clear org charts, dashboards and materials for senior leaders
- Supporting consultation, redeployment and role-impact activities as the transformation progresses
- Preparing executive papers, briefing notes, presentations and governance documentation
- Developing clear and people-focused communications to support employees and leaders through change
- Working across multiple transformation workstreams, tracking milestones, risks, dependencies and actions
About you
This role will suit someone who likes to roll their sleeves up and get things done.
You may come from an HR, organisational development, workforce planning, people analytics or transformation background, but you'll need to be comfortable operating across both the people and analytical sides of the work.
You’ll bring:
- Experience in workforce planning, organisational design or people transformation
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to work with FTE, workforce and organisational data
- Experience developing organisational structures, workforce models or scenario planning
- Excellent written communication skills, particularly preparing information for senior stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving pieces
- The confidence to work with senior stakeholders while being equally happy doing the detailed work behind the scenes
- A practical, people-centred approach to organisational change
Why this role?
This is an opportunity to join a transformation at a genuinely interesting point in its journey. The strategy and direction are established, and the focus is now on working through the detail and implementing the change.
If you enjoy taking complex information, working out what it means for people and the organisation, and then turning that into something practical — this could be a great fit.
