Bloom Potts Point is seeking a full-time Chef to join our kitchen team.
The role involves preparing and cooking dishes to our established standards, organising daily preparation, managing a section during service, and helping maintain consistency across restaurant service, private functions and pasta classes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking menu items, including fresh pasta, sauces, antipasti and other Italian-inspired dishes
- Organising and managing daily preparation for assigned sections
- Monitoring food quality, presentation and portion control
- Assisting with menu planning and development
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock rotation
- Minimising food waste and maintaining efficient kitchen practices
- Preparing and coordinating food for private functions and group events
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards
- Supporting and training junior kitchen staff where required
- Working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
The successful applicant will have previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen, strong organisational and service skills, and the ability to work confidently within a small professional team. Experience with Italian cuisine and fresh pasta is highly regarded.
