State Business and Compliance Officer | Victoria & Tasmania

We are seeking a State Compliance & Business Officer to join our Operations Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Supporting campuses across Victoria and Tasmania, this role plays an important part in ensuring our schools operate safely, effectively and in line with regulatory requirements. Working closely with campus leaders and regional support teams, you'll help drive strong governance, compliance and operational excellence across the region.

This role will require travel to Victoria and Tasmania regional campuses as required and can be based in one of our Victorian or Tasmanian campuses.

As a State Compliance and Business Officer, you will:

• Coordinate compliance and governance activities across Victoria and Tasmania.
• Maintain compliance registers, action plans, records and reporting.
• Support Board and governance administration, including meetings and reporting.
• Monitor and track compliance requirements across WHS, child safety and school operations.
• Coordinate Working with Children Check and Registration to Work with Vulnerable People compliance activities.
• Support audits, campus reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with insurance, transport and operational compliance activities.
• Build strong relationships with campus teams and key stakeholders.
• Contribute to the delivery of safe, compliant and effective school operations.

About You

The successful candidate will have experience in compliance, governance, administration, operations or a related field.

You will be highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and build strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.

You will also bring:

• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience maintaining records, reports and compliance documentation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
• The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.

Experience within education, compliance, governance, WHS or other regulated environments will be highly regarded.
