Join our team and play a key role in supporting Infection Prevention and Control, Staff Health, and Respiratory Protection Programs that contribute to safer healthcare for staff and patients.
The Infection Prevention Control and Staff Health Unit comprises a dedicated team of nursing and administrative professionals who work in partnership with Infectious Diseases and Microbiology medical staff to minimise infection risks for patients, healthcare workers, and the public. The unit is committed to excellence through a range of ongoing programs, including staff education, policy development and review, surveillance of hospital-acquired infections, input into the design and fit-out of new or redeveloped clinical areas, outbreak management, and the promotion of hand hygiene and other infection prevention and control practices.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the efficient and effective delivery of services across the team, including the Respiratory Protection Program. You will identify opportunities to improve service delivery through problem-solving, risk management, and continuous process improvement. Working collaboratively with clinical, outpatient, support, and administrative staff, you will build and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation.
You will work closely with nursing staff to support day-to-day operations, coordinate scheduling requirements, and ensure the availability of supplies for events, workshops, and other program activities.
