Salary: $172,246 (Plus 12.5% Super)

The Senior Director, Financial Management leads a large and diverse team of finance professionals, providing strategic direction, fostering a high-performance culture, and driving the delivery of high-quality financial management services across Canberra Health Services. This role oversees key financial functions including budgeting, planning, forecasting, performance reporting, financial analysis, cost modelling, and business partnering, ensuring leaders at all levels are supported with timely insights and advice to make informed decisions and achieve organisational objectives.

Working closely with executive leaders, clinical and operational stakeholders, and corporate partners, you will strengthen financial governance, enhance organisational performance, and drive continuous improvement across financial management practices and systems. The role is instrumental in identifying financial risks and opportunities, improving financial capability across the organisation, and delivering sustainable service and financial outcomes that support the delivery of high-quality healthcare to the Canberra community.

This is a temporary position available for a period of eight months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months or permanency. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical or similar vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
