Current Swinburne sessional staff
If you are currently employed as a Swinburne sessional academic staff member, this EOI is a chance to confirm your interest in sessional teaching for 2027 and share the areas where you would like to be considered.
Your EOI will help schools and departments review their sessional talent pools and identify teaching areas where your qualifications, experience and interests may be well aligned for future opportunities.
Current sessional staff must also upload a completed AACSB qualification flowchart. The flowchart can be downloaded from the link available at the bottom of this page. Please complete it in Adobe and upload it to the application form.
If you need help completing the AACSB flowchart, please contact soblesupport@swin.edu.au. You can also visit the AACSB wiki page for more information about this accreditation.
Current Swinburne HDR students
Current Swinburne HDR students are welcome to submit an EOI where sessional teaching aligns with their study commitments and satisfactory progress. A reminder that the HDR candidature manual and statement of practice can be found here.
If you are an HDR student who is also a current sessional academic staff member, please select ‘Current HDR student and employed as sessional’ when completing the form.
External applicants – TBC if external required
If you are not currently employed by Swinburne, you are welcome to submit an EOI for the selected teaching areas listed below.
External EOIs should only be submitted where your qualifications, teaching experience, professional expertise or industry experience align with one of these areas:
- Management and Marketing teaching areas
- Business Technology and Entrepreneurship teaching areas
Submit your EOI
When you are ready, click the ‘Begin’ button at the bottom of this page and complete the EOI form for your relevant pathway.
Applicants must have current working rights in Australia. Sponsorship is not available for these sessional teaching opportunities.
After you submit your EOI, you will receive a system-generated confirmation. Your EOI will be reviewed against the relevant requirements, areas of suitability and available teaching needs.
Submitting an EOI does not guarantee sessional teaching work. If a suitable opportunity becomes available, the relevant Unit Convenor or School staff will contact you. Any appointment is subject to a satisfactory Working with Children Check.
