About the opportunity 

Reporting to the Head of Partners Management, this role is responsible for leading sourcing and contracting operations across Australia Post's Delivery Partner network. Managing a significant portfolio of high-volume contracts, you'll lead a nationally distributed team of procurement and contract management professionals to deliver strong commercial outcomes, ensure governance and compliance standards are met, and build trusted partnerships across the business.

Success in this role will come from providing strong leadership across a geographically dispersed team, driving consistency and efficiency across the end-to-end contracting lifecycle, and ensuring key programs and initiatives are delivered on time to support Australia Post's evolving delivery network. Experience within logistics, transport or last mile delivery environments will be highly regarded.

You’ll also 

• Lead end-to-end sourcing, tendering and contracting activities across a large, complex contract portfolio.
• Drive governance, compliance and process excellence to ensure contracts are managed consistently and in line with approved frameworks.
• Lead, coach and develop a nationally distributed team of procurement and contract management professionals, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee the delivery of multiple contracting programs and initiatives, ensuring key milestones, deadlines and business objectives are achieved.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and Delivery Partners to support operational performance, commercial outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, scalability and service outcomes across the Delivery Partner network.

You are a commercially minded leader who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment. You bring strong leadership capability, excellent program management skills and a proven ability to lead teams across multiple locations while delivering outcomes within agreed timeframes.

Highly organised and outcomes-focused, you're comfortable balancing competing priorities, managing complex stakeholder relationships and driving continuous improvement. You create an environment where people feel supported, accountable and empowered to perform at their best.

You’ll also  

• Bring significant experience in procurement, category management, contract management or a related commercial discipline.
• Have a proven track record leading and developing high-performing teams across multiple locations within a large and complex organisation.
• Demonstrate strong program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes to challenging deadlines.
• Possess strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and external partners.
• Bring experience within logistics, transport, supply chain or last mile delivery environments, or similar operationally complex industries.
• Have a strong focus on governance, continuous improvement and delivering sustainable commercial outcomes.
