The Opportunity
Centennial Lodge is seeking caring and reliable Food Services Assistants to join our friendly team.
In this role, you will play an important part in creating positive dining experiences for our residents by assisting with meal preparation, service, and maintaining clean and welcoming dining areas. Your commitment to quality service and resident wellbeing will help ensure every mealtime is enjoyable, safe, and meaningful.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain clean, tidy, and welcoming dining areas
- Assist with food and beverage preparation, plating, and service
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and infection control requirements
- Deliver meals in accordance with residents' dietary and nutritional needs
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to residents, visitors, and colleagues
- Support the kitchen and care teams to ensure smooth meal service operations
About You
You will be a team-oriented individual who enjoys providing excellent service and making a positive difference in the lives of older people.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience in hospitality, food services, healthcare, or aged care (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A reliable, organised, and flexible approach to work
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- A genuine passion for supporting and caring for older Australians
Essential Requirements:
- Current National Police Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Evidence of three COVID-19 vaccinations
- Current annual Influenza vaccination
- Food Handling Certificate
- Availability to work a flexible roster across seven days, including weekends and public holidays as required
