About Saffire Freycinet

Saffire Freycinet is one of Australia’s most celebrated luxury lodges, offering an all-inclusive experience that is distinctly Tasmanian, deeply personal and truly unforgettable. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Hazards and Great Oyster Bay, our 20 suites bring together considered design, exceptional comfort and a genuine connection to place.

From memorable dining and time in our day spa to guided walks and experiences exploring Freycinet’s coastline, every stay invites guests to slow down and discover what makes this part of Tasmania so special.

At the heart of that experience is our team. It’s the care, pride and attention brought to each day that turn a beautiful setting into a stay guests remember long after they leave.

The best part

At Saffire, you’re becoming part of a team and a community that takes pride in creating memorable guest experiences through genuine, intuitive service. With opportunities to learn from inspiring industry mentors and enjoy the natural beauty of Tasmania’s East Coast, this is a place to build your career and feel at home.

  • Work in a globally awarded luxury lodge, proudly showcasing Tasmania to the world
  • Access subsidised, fully furnished staff accommodation in the Freycinet National Park area, just 10 minutes’ drive from Coles Bay, with Wi-Fi, gym and entertainment facilities on site
  • Enjoy complimentary staff meals while on shift
  • Grow your career with genuine development pathways across Federal Hospitality
  • Join a team that genuinely cares about each other, our guests and our community
  • Embrace life on Tasmania’s East Coast, spending your days off hiking and exploring the region’s natural beauty
  • Enjoy a coastal lifestyle just two hours from both Launceston and Hobart

This role is suited to someone ready to settle into life on the East Coast and make a long-term commitment to Saffire, rather than seeking a short seasonal stay. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us and become a lasting part of our team.

About the role

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll take a hands-on role in maintaining the exceptional presentation of our 20 suites and shared spaces. Working alongside the Executive Housekeeper, you’ll support the team’s daily operations, help colleagues develop their skills and ensure every detail reflects Saffire’s luxury standards. You will:

  • Supervise daily housekeeping operations, plan and allocate work, and support team performance and development goals
  • Welcome, train and support new colleagues, helping them feel confident in Saffire’s service and presentation standards
  • Ensure the team has the tools and equipment needed to deliver consistently high-quality work
  • Communicate closely with other departments to support a seamless guest experience and a collaborative team environment
  • Complete quality inspections alongside the Executive Housekeeper, maintaining care and consistency in every detail
  • Check suites, public areas, equipment and linen for cleanliness and condition, providing constructive guidance where improvements are needed
  • Work alongside the team to service guest suites, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning to an exceptional standard

You’re someone who:

  • Brings supervisory experience in luxury accommodation or a similar environment, with an exceptional eye for detail and pride in beautifully presented spaces.
  • Is reliable and flexible, with availability across a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Enjoys learning, sharing knowledge and helping both yourself and your team continue to develop.
  • Holds a current drivers licence and reliable car (due to the remote area)
