About our client
Our client is a large and complex organisation operating a regulated sector. This high-profile organisation operates in a unique stakeholder environment which gives rise to a multitude of sensitive and nuanced legal issues.
About the role
Working as part of an established and high performing team, you will be responsible for managing a broad range of litigated matters. The key focus of this role is advocacy in various jurisdictions, and the role will require regular appearance work.
Your remit will include managing the conduct of a range of litigation and claims including employment matters, administrative law matters, defamation claims, privacy disputes/complaints, workplace injury and anti-discrimination matters.
About you
You will have a minimum of 10 years PQE, and experience gained from a well-regarded law firm and/or in house environment. Some experience in employment or workplace disputes is essential, but this role would suit someone with experience beyond the confines of typical employment and industrial relations maters. The unique nature of this role may appeal to a practitioner at the Bar who is seeking a change.
Critically, you will be a confident and enthusiastic advocate who is comfortable appearing regularly before various Courts, Tribunals, Commissions and other adjudication bodies. Your advocacy experience will be complimented by strong communication skills and a team oriented and flexible approach.
