About the Role:
The Women, Youth and Children Community Nutrition Team sits within the Community Health and Integrated Care (CHIC) Division. We are currently seeking two suitably skilled dietitians to join the team.
The nutrition team works with individuals, families and communities to improve health and wellbeing through the delivery of evidence-based nutrition care.
Our goal is to support clients to eat well, enjoy nourishing foods, and develop a positive relationship with food and their body. We are committed to providing respectful, client-centred care, working in partnership with clients to meet their identified needs in a safe and supportive environment.
The team provides a range of services, including individual dietary assessment, care planning and nutrition counselling for infants, children, young people, and pregnant and breastfeeding women across CHS Community Health Centres in the ACT. The team also delivers education programs for staff and community groups, provides outreach services through the Women’s Health Service, and coordinates the School Kids Intervention Program (SKIP) for children living with obesity.
A merit pool may be established from this recruitment process and will remain valid for 12 months. This pool may be used to fill similar roles/ future vacant positions at the same level across CHS.
