About the role:
We're looking for casual Food Service Assistants for positions at Eastern Health - Peter James Centre, Burwood East. Part of the Eastern Health network, Peter James Centre delivers essential Health services across metro Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
Food Service Assistants:
- Maintain a high standard of food services in accordance with Food Safety Legislation and Food Services Procedures
- Preparation and presentation of patient meals such as salads, sandwiches and drinks
- Cleaning and sanitizing of patient meal trays, cutlery, crockery and trolleys
- Preparation of work stations including assembly of items and stocking of consumables

About you
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and drive to deliver strong customer service
- Previous experience in a hospital or aged care environment is desired
- Current Food Safety Certificate is required
- Flexibility to work a rotational roster; including early mornings, night shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Police Clearance, or ability to obtain, is essential
- Evidence of immunisation for current influenza is essential
