The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated lawyer (4-8 PQE) to join our growing Commercial and Regulatory Practice (Disability, Medical and Aged Care). You'll work directly with NDIS providers and healthcare organisations, helping them navigate complex regulatory requirements and protect their businesses.

This role offers genuine variety. You will assist NDIS and Aged Care providers with their commercial legal needs including preparing commercial contracts, reviewing policies and advising on compliance with NDIS and Aged Care Laws. You will also assist our dispute resolution team with compliance related disputes such as management of client complaints and responses to compliance notices.

If you want to build expertise in a high-demand sector whilst making a real impact for clients doing important work, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements and policies, including services agreements, privacy policies and all other business as usual documents required by our clients
  • Provide advice on client complaints and prepare response letters
  • Provide preliminary advice on notifiable data breaches and assist our disputes team with preparation of responses to regulatory authorities
  • Assist multiple client matters simultaneously, adapting to different business cultures and working styles

The Ideal Candidate

  • Admitted to practise in Australia with 4-8 years' post-qualification experience in private practice and/or in-house.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting and reviewing a broad range of commercial agreements and advising on commercial and regulatory matters across the medical, health and/or aged care sectors. While not required, experience with residential aged care or retirement villages would be highly regarded.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with SMEs and corporate clients.
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong commercial acumen.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a high-performing team.

The Perks

  • Gain exposure to a diverse range of clients and legal matters, and develop close relationships with your clients.
  • Enjoy flexibility, autonomy and working within an incredible team, all while supercharging your career.
  • With our 'LV Leave' benefit, receive up to 25 days of paid annual leave per year, with additional days after 2 years of service, plus paid parental leave, birthday leave, and volunteering leave.
  • Annual budget to spend on external learning and development.
  • Regular team socials, drinks and team lunches.
  • Vibrant office environment in Surry Hills super close to Central Station, and flexible work-from-home options.
