About the opportunity

We are currently seeking a People and Culture Advisor Junior to join our growing People and Culture team at our Moran Head Office. You will work with a wonderful team of dedicated people and your contribution will make a difference to our residents’ enjoyment of their life every day.

As a Junior People and Culture Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration with the Moran homes, working hand-in-hand with managers, employees, and the Senior People and Culture Advisor. You will be assisting the delivery of People and Culture projects and programs onsite, including injury management and regulatory compliance.

About the Role

  • Providing general advice and support to managers and employees on regulatory compliance, work conditions, Enterprise agreement and contracts.
  • Providing support to managers and employees in relation to guidance on MHCG People and Culture policies, programs and best practices.
  • Providing assistance to managers in respect of employee performance improvement / management and assist in drafting and preparing letters of performance improvement, performance management and terminations.
  • Supporting the People and Culture Senior Advisor and key stakeholders with administration and general day-to-day generalist Human Resources advice.
  • Use corporate systems to maintain employee records and process personnel actions.
  • Assisting with recruitment and selection process including advertising of roles, initial culling of applications, telephone, or face to face interviews and reference checks.
  • Responsible for the new employee placements, onboarding and complete employee paperwork ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Issue letters and contracts of employment.
  • Assist in the delivery of People and Culture initiatives
  • HR reporting, WHS, HR systems

About You??

  • Curently enrolled in Tertiary qualification including Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent practical experience
  • Customer focused with a positive and professional attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Tech savvy with Microsoft Office Suite skills and HRIS systems
  • Well organised and attention to detail
  • Open ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence and ability to drive to sites if required
  • Current influenza vaccination and Covid vaccinations as per Government direction
