Salary: $79,423 per annum plus superannuation

IHT Constructions PTY LTD is a progressive construction company providing hands-on expertise across both commercial and residential construction, delivering a range of building services, with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail.

IHT Constructions are seeking an experienced and motivated carpenter to join our growing team. You'll work across a range of projects performing carpentry duties.

KEY DUTIES/TASKS

• Interpreting construction plans, technical drawings and specifications to identify material requirements, measurements and installation methods
• Selecting, ordering and preparing timber, hardware and other construction materials, including setting out project layouts
• Measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling materials and components using hand and power tools
• Constructing and installing wall frameworks, roof structures, flooring systems and sub-floor components while ensuring structural accuracy and alignment
• Installing fascia boards, roof sheeting, external cladding, as well as door and window frames in accordance with project specifications
• Fabricating and assembling timber structures, fittings and fixtures prior to installation on-site
• Preparing and cutting timber joints to ensure precise fitting and structural integrity
• Assisting with the construction and installation of concrete formwork where required
• Carrying out maintenance, repairs and replacement of existing timber fixtures and fittings
• Working with a range of materials including timber, plastic laminates, Perspex and light metals for construction and finishing purposes

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
• White card (Construction induction safety certificate)
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation (preferred)
