Your new company
Our client is a well-established NSW-based contractor delivering commercial construction, refurbishment and maintenance solutions across a diverse range of industries. With in house capabilities spanning building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing services, they provide end-to-end project solutions for clients across commercial, healthcare, education, government and infrastructure sectors.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and driving revenue growth across commercial construction, fit-out, maintenance and building services projects.
Your new role
- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across commercial construction and building services.
- Build strong relationships with facility managers, property groups, consultants, architects, builders and asset owners.
- Generate opportunities for fit-out, refurbishment, maintenance and capital works projects.
- Manage the sales process from initial engagement through to proposal submission and project award.
- Work closely with estimating, operations and project delivery teams to develop tailored client solutions.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately forecast future opportunities.
- Attend networking events, industry functions and client meetings to increase market visibility and generate leads.
- Monitor market activity, upcoming projects and industry trends to identify new growth opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in business development, sales or account management within construction, building services, facilities management or a related industry.
- Strong network and relationship-building capabilities.
- Experience engaging with contractors, property groups, facility managers, consultants or project stakeholders.
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert prospects into long term client relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing a sales pipeline and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Self motivated, organised and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Experience using CRM platforms and sales reporting tools.
