Job Description

The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and collaborative Director to lead an established team and continue building a positive culture where children, families and educators can thrive.

This is a non teaching, permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, with some great benefits including:

  • Generous Director’s allowance
  • A paid rostered day off every month
  • 5 additional personal leave days
  • 20% employee discount on the CCS Gap Fee at KU services
  • Extensive professional learning, coaching and leadership support

You’ll provide day-to-day leadership across the service, supporting and mentoring educators, strengthening quality practice, building meaningful relationships with children and families, and overseeing the smooth operation of the centre. You’ll be supported by an experienced Service Administrator and KU’s dedicated Education Quality, Education Support, Child Wellbeing and Learning and Development teams.

If you’re looking for a leadership role where you can make an impact while having the support of a larger organisation behind you, we’d love to hear from you.

The Service

This well-established long day care service has been part of its community for more than 15 years, operating from a modern, purpose-built environment for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.

Conveniently located on George Street, the service offers free on-site parking and easy access to public transport.

You’ll be joining a qualified, diverse and long-standing team, with three light-filled, well-resourced learning environments and a large outdoor space featuring sandpits, mud kitchens, climbing equipment and shaded play areas.

The service also has a calm, well-equipped staff room, providing our team with a dedicated space to step away, recharge and connect throughout the day.

  • 12 rostered days off per year, in addition to annual leave
  • 5 additional personal leave days for service-based staff

  • Up to 15 weeks of KU paid parental leave
  • ECT Accreditation Mentoring and Support

  • Blue Light Card discounts
  • Access to our Health & Wellbeing portal
  • FREE professional learning through KU’s Learning Hub
  • An inclusive culture with a shared vision
