About the role

The Procurement Officer is required to deliver a broad range of procurement advice and support for procurement and contracting activities of some complexity for business units, local education offices, schools and preschools to meet desired procurement outcomes and business objectives. The position undertakes procurement projects with limited supervision and ensures that all documentation and activities are compliant the department’s Procurement Framework and Treasurer’s Instruction 18.

Qualifications

Essential: Nil.

Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualifications.

Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

ASO5  $92,122 - $102,456 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading
