The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to operate a variety of plant equipment including mowers, whipper snippers, chainsaws and vehicles for the primary purpose of maintaining BVSC drainage and vegetation assets and associated infrastructure.
As a Vegetation and Drainage Team Member (Mower), you will operate and maintain vehicles, plant equipment and tools on vegetation and drainage maintenance tasks as well as perform basic routine and corrective maintenance on plant, vehicles, equipment, and tools. You will cross-skill and mentor other team members in the operation and application of a range of plant, equipment, and tools.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card) and has experience in operating and maintaining a range of equipment and vehicles directly relating to the requirements of this position such as ride on mowers, tractors and light trucks.
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrated relevant experience in horticultural asset maintenance works which may include (but not limited to): Turf maintenance, large area mowing, tractor slashing, tree maintenance, weeding (including chemical controls) and drainage maintenance.
- Experience in operating and maintaining a range of equipment and vehicles including trucks and trailers, tractors, skid steers and other construction plant.
- Experience in operating and maintaining a variety of hand and power tools which may include (but not limited to): chainsaws, brush cutters, edging machines, mowers and blowers.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret both paper and electronically based plans and schedules and apply these to work being performed.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full time position working 38 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $73,143.62 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $1,255.90 per week base salary
- $150.71 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
