Working within a highly regarded national team, you’ll advise major organisations on complex and high-stakes matters spanning cyber incident response, data governance, privacy compliance and emerging technology regulation. The role offers direct exposure to senior executives and boards, helping clients navigate an increasingly complex regulatory and risk environment.
The work is fast-moving and high-impact, with matters often extending well beyond traditional technology transactions and playing a critical role in the way organisations manage risk, respond to incidents and adopt emerging technologies.
What You’ll Work On
- Cyber & Incident Response – advising on data breaches, crisis management and regulator engagement
- Data, Privacy & Surveillance – advising on complex compliance frameworks, governance and investigations
- AI & Emerging Technology – developing governance frameworks and advising on risk and regulatory requirements
- Regulatory Investigations – assisting clients with enforcement actions and high-profile regulatory matters
- Cross-Practice Collaboration – working alongside corporate, disputes and regulatory teams on complex, multi-disciplinary matters
About You
We’re seeking a lawyer who brings:
- 4+ years’ PAE with experience in cyber, privacy, data protection and/or regulatory matters
- Experience gained within a top-tier or national firm, or a relevant in-house environment
- Strong technical capability combined with sound commercial judgement
- The ability to translate complex legal and technical issues into clear, practical advice
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to client relationships
Exposure to AI, cyber incident response or regulatory investigations will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
