The opportunity

We’re looking for a Digital Engineer to support the architecture and engineering of a complex IT System of Systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

In this hands-on role, you’ll develop architecture models that connect systems, functions, interfaces and requirements. Working alongside systems engineers, architects and technical specialists, you’ll turn complex information into clear, traceable models that support design decisions across the system lifecycle.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain architecture models covering IT systems, applications, services, infrastructure and external interfaces.
  • Apply MBSE practices to model system structure, behaviour, information exchanges and dependencies.
  • Create architectural views aligned with NATO Architecture Framework v4 (NAF v4), using SysML, UML and the Unified Architecture Framework Domain Metamodel (UAF DMM).
  • Support requirements analysis, decomposition, allocation and traceability between requirements and architecture.
  • Work with technical teams and stakeholders to clarify evolving requirements and resolve modelling gaps.
  • Contribute to model governance, quality standards and consistent modelling practices.
  • Share your knowledge and guide colleagues on modelling methods and conventions.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 12 months of practical MBSE experience.
  • Hands-on experience with CATIA Magic Systems of Systems Architect — essential.
  • Experience developing architecture or engineering models for complex IT systems or Systems of Systems.
  • Practical requirements engineering and requirements traceability experience.
  • Working knowledge of NAF v4, SysML, UML and UAF DMM.
  • Confidence working through complexity, ambiguity and changing requirements.
  • A current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance — essential.

Experience with Jama, connecting architecture models with requirements management tools, and working in multidisciplinary engineering teams will be highly regarded.
