Store Manager/Retail Manager

Annual salary $80,000-$85,000
We are looking for an experienced, business-minded manager of the 7-day a week regional South Australian roadhouse business offering a comprehensive range of services including fuel services, kitchen and hot food range on site and take-away, beverages and bakery offerings, convenience store, and automotive essentials.
This full-time position is responsible for managing the overall operations, ensuring strong sales performance and profitability, high customer service standards, marketing, effective staff supervision, stock management
Responsibilities:
• Organise and control daily operations to ensure efficient service delivery
• Set and monitor revenue targets and actual sales performance, establish revenue targets
• Develop and implement strategies to improve profitability and business growth
• Oversee merchandising, promotional displays, and store presentation to maximise sales
• Monitor operational costs and manage store budgets in line with business objectives
• Analyse sales reports, margins, and financial data to identify trends and improve business outcomes
• Manage purchasing, pricing, stock levels, and inventory systems
• Determine product mix, stock levels, and inventory requirements to meet customer demand and optimise sales opportunities
• Ensure high levels of customer service, addressing enquiries and resolving complaints
• Recruit, train, supervise, and roster staff to ensure service standards and productivity
• Ensure compliance with company policies, Australian Consumer Law and other regulations, and workplace health and safety requirements
Required Skills & Experience
• At least 2 years’ experience in a retail supervisory or management role
• Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
• Demonstrated ability to set and manage sales targets, budgets, and financial reporting
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Sound understanding of purchasing and stock management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
