Software Engineer

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team. The Software Engineer will be responsible for software development, software implementation, systems integration, business intelligence, reporting & support. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and evaluate business and user requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and systematically design and implement effective software solutions that support the Company's manufacturing and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business and manufacturing requirements and design software solutions to support the Company's product development, manufacturing, sales, inventory and operational processes.

• Design, develop, modify and maintain software applications that improve the efficiency, accuracy and automation of the Company's manufacturing and business operations.

• Develop software tools and applications to manage product specifications, configurations, components and vehicle compatibility for toolboxes, canopies, alloy trays, service bodies, campers, trailers and roof-top tents.

• Develop and maintain databases and software systems for product information, bills of materials, inventory, production orders and other manufacturing data.

• Integrate CAD and business systems, including developing appropriate software interfaces, scripts or other solutions to improve the transfer and management of information generated through the Company's existing SketchUp-based design processes.

• Develop and implement software solutions to automate production and operational workflows, including product quotation, order processing, production planning, work orders, inventory management and reporting.

• Conduct software testing, debugging and performance optimisation, identify technical problems and implement modifications and improvements to ensure reliable operation of applications and systems.

• Develop system integrations and data-exchange solutions between relevant CAD, manufacturing, inventory, accounting, sales and other business systems where required.

• Prepare technical documentation and provide ongoing software maintenance and technical support, while evaluating opportunities for further digitalisation, automation and improvement of the Company's manufacturing systems.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor degree or higher in in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Min 3 years’ experience in similar role.

• Proven superb ability to investigate, analyze, conceptualize and report.

• Demonstrated outstanding ability to understand user needs, communicate effectively and think creatively.

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to think laterally in approaching a problem

• Good time management and attention to detail

• Able to work autonomously, as well as a part of a team
