Our Cabramatta, NSW based Service Technician will enjoy being part of our team and working in an energetic environment. Your primary duties will involve equipment safety checks, servicing, repairs, general maintenance, and equipment cleanliness. The position would suit a mechanically minded person with experience in mini and mobile cranes, and excavators. This is a workshop-based role with some Field service work required.
About You
- Minimum 3+ years mechanical experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Heavy Diesel/Plant Mechanic certificate
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
- Commitment to high safety standards
- Commitment to product quality and delivery
- Autonomous and independent worker
- EWP & Crane tickets desirable.
- Auto electrical trade certificate desirable
- Must pass background check, drug test, and driving record check.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Be interested and motivated in learning to diagnose faults, make recommendations, and complete minor repairs as required.
- Be willing to read and interpret drawings / specs to determine and complete the job.
- Quality inspections of our fleet pre-hire and on return
- Use of hand and power tools.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- Work within Preston Hire’s high safety, quality, and process standards.
