About Our Client

This organisation operates in the energy and natural resources sector and is based in Richmond. They are a growing firm in the industry with significant investment happening across the Eastern seaboard of Australia. This role will partner strongly with senior stakeholders and be a key point of contact across multiple projects. It will off the flexibility of 4-days in office and 1-day work from home.

Job Description

• Manage project accounting and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support project decision-making.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Prepare and review project cost reports and variance analyses.
• Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition for projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to address financial queries.
• Assist with internal and external audits related to project finances.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for project accounting processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Project Accountant will be able to demonstrate:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualifications such as CA or CPA.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
