This Australian technology company is a household name in the oil & gas and process industry sectors specialising in the design, manufacture and deployment of modular processing skids. With the emergency of new projects coming online with the asset owner clients, the portfolio continues to grow. We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to play a key role in the development and delivery of innovative process plants from concept through to commissioning.

Your new role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading process engineering activities while also providing project engineering support across multidisciplinary teams.Key Responsibilities

• Lead process design for hydrocarbon processing systems, developing PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balances, process calculations and equipment specifications.
• Perform process simulations, equipment sizing and optimisation studies, prepare design documentation, operating philosophies and engineering reports.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID and other process safety reviews.
• Coordinate engineering activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and controls disciplines.
• Manage engineering deliverables, technical interfaces and project schedules.
• Support procurement, fabrication, commissioning and start-up activities.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualified Chemical Engineer, preferable with Chartered status and proven experience in process engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, energy or related industries.
• Experience delivering modular process plants, packaged equipment or skid-mounted systems.
• Experience and/or desire to work across the project life-cycle beyond design engineering and contribute as a project engineer.
• Experience with Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or similar process modelling software is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of GTL, gas processing, biofuels, syngas generation or related technologies is advantageous.
