About the role
This is a 12-month full-time fixed term position with a salary of VPS 5.2 $128,635 plus 12% superannuation.
Build practical AI solutions that make a real difference.
We’re looking for a Senior Microsoft AI Developer who combines strong software development skills with experience across the Microsoft technology ecosystem. You’ll design and deliver practical AI, automation and application solutions that solve real business problems.
This is a hands-on development role, with a strong focus on Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, Copilot and enterprise integration. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, architects and delivery teams to take ideas from concept and prototyping through to production.
As part of our AI Centre of Excellence, you’ll also help establish reusable development patterns, technical standards and responsible AI practices across the organisation.
Day to day you'll be expected to:
- Build and integrate applications, automations and AI-enabled solutions using technologies including Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure, Copilot, APIs and Snowflake.
- Turn business problems into practical technology solutions, working with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI and automation.
- Lead development and prototyping through to production, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable and aligned with architecture, cybersecurity, privacy and responsible AI requirements.
- Provide senior technical guidance through code reviews, solution design, DevOps and technical standards.
- Share your knowledge and help grow AI and development capability across the organisation.
Let's talk about you!
You are an experienced software or application developer who enjoys turning business problems into practical technology solutions. You have strong experience with Microsoft technologies and are comfortable working across application development, automation, integration and emerging AI capabilities.
You will ideally have:
- Strong software development experience in a contemporary enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and/or Power Automate.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Copilot, Azure AI services and APIs/integration.
- Experience applying AI or automation to business applications and processes.
- Experience working with platforms such as Snowflake to support applications or AI solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder skills.
- An understanding of security, privacy, governance and responsible AI.
We are particularly interested in developers who have built business applications, workflow automation and integrations using Microsoft technologies and are now applying AI to enhance those solutions.
