A well-respected NSW Government organisation is seeking two experienced Senior Media Advisors to join its high-profile corporate division. These roles offer the opportunity to support key state-wide initiatives while managing high-profile and contentious issues. Ideal candidates will bring strong government experience, sound media judgement and a proactive approach.

ASAP start through to 31 March 2027, based in Parramatta, with regional candidates considered.

The Job…..
Reporting to the Director, Senior Media Advisors will be responsible for:

• Coordinate media content with the Media Manager and relevant experts.
• Identify and manage emerging media and reputational risks.
• Advise executives and teams on media and communications strategies.
• Draft media releases, statements and responses.
• Support campaigns, events and key initiatives with proactive media engagement.
• Prepare speeches, briefings and FAQs.
• Maintain relationships with journalists, Ministerial Offices and senior stakeholders.

You…..
To succeed in these roles, you will have demonstrated experience in:

• 5+ years’ experience in media and/or journalism.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong media relations, issues management and reputational risk skills.
• Excellent writing, editing and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Experience managing complex media matters across diverse outlets.
• Ability to deliver accurate, timely communications across competing priorities.
