Role Overview
An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join a growing credit team based in Melbourne CBD. Reporting into Credit Leadership, you will play a key role in assessing and processing complex lending applications while supporting continuous improvement across credit operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and submit consumer and business lending applications secured by residential property
- Evaluate complex credit scenarios and workshop deals with senior stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with brokers, sales teams and internal departments
- Conduct detailed due diligence across all lending applications
- Ensure compliance with NCCP, AML/CTF and Privacy obligations
- Identify opportunities to improve credit processes and operational efficiency
- Support reporting requirements and operational excellence initiatives
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 10 years' experience in credit analysis, underwriting or lending assessment
- Experience within mortgage lending, banking or financial services environments
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending and complex borrower structures including trusts and companies
- Familiarity with ApplyOnline or similar loan origination platforms
- Exposure to specialist or non-conforming lending environments highly regarded
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) experience highly regarded
