About the Opportunity

An established and growing contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join its Perth-based commercial team and support a strong pipeline of major civil and mining-related projects across Western Australia.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, this is a permanent position based in modern Perth CBD offices, offering exposure to complex, high-value projects while working closely with project delivery, commercial and client teams.

This role would suit an experienced Contracts Administrator who is ready to take greater ownership of the commercial function and play a key role in project performance from procurement through to close-out.

The Role

As Senior Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for managing key commercial and contractual activities across major projects, including:

• Managing head contract compliance and contractual obligations
• Preparing, reviewing and administering variations
• Managing delay claims, extensions of time and contractual correspondence
• Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risk
• Leading subcontractor procurement and tender evaluations
• Preparing and administering subcontract and supplier agreements
• Monitoring project budgets, forecasts and commercial performance
• Supporting cost reporting and financial controls
• Managing claims, payment schedules and commercial documentation
• Acting as a key point of contact for contractual matters with clients and project teams
• Working closely with Project Managers and site teams to support successful project delivery
• Supporting project close-out, final accounts and lessons learned
• Contributing commercial knowledge to future tenders and project planning

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an experienced commercial professional with a strong understanding of contracts, procurement and project cost management within the construction industry.

Ideally, you will have:

• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, Law or a related discipline
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience within contracts or commercial roles supporting construction projects
• Ideally 3+ years’ experience managing or taking significant responsibility for a project commercial function
• Strong experience across civil construction or infrastructure projects
• Mining or resources project experience will be highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, procurement, cost and change management
• Experience managing variations, claims and commercial risk
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting capability
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Experience with Pronto or similar ERP systems will be advantageous
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Australian working rights
