With a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement, they are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to take ownership of their health and safety function and help drive a proactive safety culture across the business.
The role:
This is a hands-on role where you will partner closely with leadership and operational teams to improve safety awareness, strengthen compliance, and embed best-practice health and safety systems across the organisation.
The Role Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for developing and managing the organisation’s health and safety framework while supporting teams across production, warehouse, and corporate environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement the organisation’s health and safety strategy aligned with operational goals and regulatory requirements
- Provide expert safety advice and guidance to leaders and employees across the business
- Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks, including psychosocial hazards
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to proactively identify hazards and drive improvements
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
- Manage injury management and return-to-work processes, including coordination with medical professionals and insurers
- Partner with internal teams to deliver targeted HSE training and awareness programs
- Work closely with operational leaders to ensure safety practices are embedded across production and warehouse environments
- Monitor compliance and maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
- Prepare and present safety performance reports to senior leadership
- Act as the key point of contact for regulators and external stakeholders on health and safety matters
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the organisation’s safety culture
To be successful in this role:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian safety legislation and its practical application
- Experience conducting investigations, audits, and training delivery
- Proven experience managing safety risks in manufacturing and warehouse environments
- Experience working with hazardous chemicals on site
- Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence teams at all levels
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
