Our client, Jai Deva Pty Ltd is an established retail business operating multiple retail stores and providing customers with a broad range of products and services. The company is committed to delivering reliable customer service, maintaining high standards of store presentation, and ensuring efficient day-to-day retail operations. Due to the ongoing needs of its retail stores, Jai Deva Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Retail Supervisor to support staff coordination, customer service, stock control, merchandising and the smooth operation of the stores.

Roles & Responsibilities:

·Coordinate day-to-day activities of retail sales staff to ensure the store operates efficiently throughout each shift.

·Monitor stock availability, identify products requiring replenishment, and arrange ordering of replacement inventory in line with sales demand.

·Allocate team members to registers, sales areas, stock replenishment, customer assistance and other operational duties according to business needs.

·Oversee product presentation throughout the store, ensuring merchandise is appropriately positioned, labelled and priced for sale.

·Support and guide retail employees in completing sales transactions, handling unusual customer requests and managing more complex service situations.

·Deal with customer concerns, product enquiries and service issues, taking appropriate action to maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.

·Check returned, exchanged or damaged merchandise and determine the appropriate outcome in accordance with store procedures.

·Assist with the recruitment, induction and ongoing training of retail staff and provide practical feedback regarding employee performance.

·Prepare and adjust staff rosters to maintain adequate floor coverage during normal trading periods, busy periods, weekends and staff absences.

·Monitor staff performance and workplace conduct, address operational issues as they arise and escalate significant employee matters to management where necessary.

·Ensure staff follow established cash-handling, workplace safety, loss-prevention and store-security procedures.

·Maintain appropriate standards of customer service by monitoring service delivery and ensuring customers are attended to promptly and professionally.

·Conduct or coordinate regular stock counts and investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and store records.

·Communicate operational priorities, promotional requirements, stock issues and management instructions to retail employees at the beginning and throughout shifts.

·Assist management in maintaining an organised, safe and commercially effective retail environment by monitoring daily workflow, staff allocation and merchandising standards.

Skills and experience

• The candidate should have one year of experience in a similar role.
• Certificate level qualification is desirable.
• Management experience ideally in a fast-paced retail environment.
• A true passion for retail & growing your retail management career.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in team and autonomously.

Salary Package: $75,000 - $90,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
