As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Eastwood store. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing retail sales, purchasing, inventory, staff, customer service and overall store performance.
Key Responsibilities
As Retail Manager, you will:
1. Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the poultry retail store, ensuring efficient sales activities, customer service and overall store performance.
2. Determine the appropriate range of fresh poultry products, stock levels and retail service standards based on customer demand and sales trends.
3. Develop and implement purchasing procedures, coordinate with poultry suppliers and establish competitive retail pricing to support profitability.
4. Monitor inventory levels, product freshness, stock rotation and wastage to maintain product availability and minimise operational losses.
5. Plan and implement marketing initiatives, promotional offers and retail sales strategies to attract customers and increase store revenue.
6. Oversee customer service operations, manage customer enquiries and resolve complaints to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
7. Prepare and monitor store budgets, sales targets, operating expenses and financial performance to improve business efficiency and profitability.
8. Maintain accurate records of stock purchases, inventory movements, daily sales, financial transactions and other retail operations.
9. Manage staff recruitment, rostering, training, supervision and performance to ensure adequate staffing and effective store operations.
10. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, refrigeration, safe food handling and workplace health and safety requirements throughout the retail store.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Diploma or higher qualification in Retail Management, Business Management, Business Administration or a related field.
2. Minimum one year of relevant professional experience in retail management, preferably within food retail, poultry, meat or grocery businesses.
3. Strong skills in retail operations, inventory control, supplier management, budgeting, sales performance and staff supervision.
4. Excellent leadership, customer service, communication and problem-solving skills, with sound knowledge of food safety and retail workplace requirements.
