About the Position
The Retail Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day running of the Waikiki store, ensuring that every order is produced and delivered to Domino's standards while the store meets its sales, cost and service targets. Reporting to the franchise owner, the role leads the in-store and delivery team across busy lunch, evening and weekend trading periods, oversees stock, cash and compliance, and is central to the store's customer satisfaction, profitability and reputation in the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, order flow, product preparation and delivery dispatch.
- Plan and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and improve store performance, including local area marketing and promotions in line with franchise guidelines.
- Recruit, induct, train, roster and supervise in-store staff and delivery drivers, and monitor their performance against brand standards.
- Prepare staff rosters to match forecast demand and control labour costs.
- Order, receive and control stock, conduct stocktakes, minimise wastage and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure food quality, presentation and preparation consistently meet Domino's product standards.
- Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and responsible service requirements.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Manage cash handling, till reconciliations, banking and end-of-day reporting.
- Use the point-of-sale and online ordering systems to monitor sales, delivery times and store performance data.
- Prepare reports for the franchise owner on sales, labour, stock and operational issues.
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety and presentation of the store and its equipment, arranging maintenance as required.
Requirements
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
- Diploma of Hospitality Management.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Sound knowledge of retail or quick-service operations, including rostering, stock control, cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
- Working knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ability to interpret sales and cost reports and manage a store against budget.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train and supervise a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making ability under pressure.
- Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
