Qualtiy Assurance Manager

WA Glass was established in 2019 to process the glass collected by the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) in Western Australia. Based in Bassendean, the site accepts all CDS glass from collection sites across WA. We also process bottle glass from other sources in WA, as well as plate glass and windscreens from WA sources.

The plant features over 100 pieces of complex, centrally computer-controlled and monitored processing equipment including automatic colour sorters, dryers, crushers, and trommels.

We are looking for a full-time Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our team and contribute to the efficient operation and growth of our glass recycling processes. The QA Manager will play a role in maintaining and optimising quality assurance procedures, as well as supervising various QA activities.

Key responsibilities:

• developing, implementing and monitoring QA operational targets,

• establishing and directing quality assurance and administrative procedures across the business

• directing and coordinating the allocation of QA resources across operational areas.

• monitoring work progress and performance, and adjusting processes and resources to keep goals on track

• controlling budget planning and report preparation, and monitoring and controlling expenditure for the QA area

• controlling selection, training and performance of QA staff

• Collaborate with team members to achieve production and continuous improvement goals

Skills and qualifications

• Experience in the recycling industry

• Strong communication skills
