The Opportunity   
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer/Contractors Quality Representative (CQR) to join our highly professional and skilled Infrastructure team on a significant DTMR project in Townsville, QLD.

As a Contractor’s Quality Representative (CQR) you will support the implementation and monitoring of quality objectives, requirements, risks, and other issues across the project to ensure they meet TMR’s quality and safety standards. This is a full-time permanent position based in Townsville. Relocation support may be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities  

  • Develop and implement project quality plans, inspection and test plans, sampling requirements and quality control procedures.
  • Ensure civil works comply with TMR legislation, project specifications, applicable standards, contractual requirements and our Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Maintain accurate quality records, lot registers, test results and handover documentation, with clear progress and performance reporting.
  • Conduct audits and surveillance of construction activities, subcontractors and suppliers, and verify compliance with approved processes.
  • Manage non-conformances, analyse quality trends, and coordinate timely corrective and preventive actions through to close-out.
  • Partner with engineering, supervision, subcontractors and clients to communicate quality requirements, provide technical guidance and drive continuous improvement.

Essential Skills and Attributes 

  • The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in a quality role on TMR projects.
  • Be a degree qualified Civil Engineer or Civil Technical Officer with qualifications accepted by Engineers Australia.
  • Be very familiar with TMR specifications and Quality Management System principles.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Contracts Administration experiences ideally on large projects.
