This is a genuinely rewarding opportunity for a Psychologist who wants to use their clinical expertise to help people navigate significant life transitions, build resilience and regain confidence and independence.

You will work alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team supporting clients throughout their vision loss journey from diagnosis and adjustment through to returning to work, navigating travel, maintaining independence and reconnecting with their community.

About the role
Working as part of a collaborative allied health team, you will provide evidence-based psychological services to clients with a range of needs associated with vision loss.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing evidence-based counselling and psychological interventions.
  • Supporting clients to develop resilience, coping strategies and practical approaches to achieve their personal goals.
  • Conducting psychological assessments and developing individualised support plans.
  • Managing a caseload and effectively prioritising client needs and appointments.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records, case notes and reports.
  • Working collaboratively with other allied health professionals through case discussions and team meetings.
  • Providing education and support to families, carers and support networks where appropriate.
  • Contributing to service improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Utilising telehealth and digital platforms where required.
  • Undertaking occasional travel to support clients across Queensland.

About you
You will be a compassionate and client-focused Psychologist who enjoys working collaboratively and is motivated by achieving meaningful outcomes for the people you support.
You will bring:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Psychologist.
  • Experience managing a clinical caseload.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A person-centred approach to psychological practice.
  • Confidence working with digital platforms and technology.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A current driver's licence.
  • Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance, or the ability to obtain these.

Experience working with people experiencing disability, adjustment, rehabilitation or significant life transitions will be highly regarded, although applicants with broader clinical psychology experience are encouraged to apply.
What's on offer?

  • Part-time position - 3 days per week.
  • Brisbane Northside location with an established and supportive allied health team.
  • A highly rewarding role where your work directly contributes to improving people's independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
  • Generous salary packaging benefits of up to $18,550 tax-free per year.
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave.
  • Free onsite parking and convenient public transport access.
  • A supportive workplace culture focused on professional development and client outcomes.
  • Employee Assistance Program and wellbeing initiatives.
  • The opportunity to work within a purpose-led organisation making a genuine difference in the Queensland community.
