Project Support Officer | 12-Month Contract | Nerang

Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a state government client to support them in recruiting for a Project Support Officer to join an engineering team delivering road infrastructure projects across the South Coast region. This is a full-time, 12-month contract with possible extension, starting ASAP.

About the role

• Pay rate of $53.56 per hour + super
• 12-month contract with possible extension, full time, based in Nerang
• Provide high level administrative and project support to several Project Managers and team members
• Coordinate team meetings, take and distribute minutes, and prepare documents, reports and presentations
• Establish and maintain spreadsheets and registers
• Prepare procurement and financial approval documentation, and assist with tender processes
• Liaise with external parties and contractors
• Track project documentation and follow up approvals to keep delivery on schedule
• Ensure practices align with policy, governance and WH&S obligations

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in a project support, project administration or similar role
• High level of competency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of procurement, with procurement or finance experience in an infrastructure environment highly regarded
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills
• Organised, accountable and persistent with follow-up and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Current C class driver’s licence (mandatory)
• Willingness to undergo a criminal history check (mandatory)
• Qualifications in business administration, project management or procurement are advantageous
