PROJECT MANAGER
- Join a national design and construction consultancy delivering office fit-out projects.
- Manage two or three projects ranging from 300 sqm to 1,000 sqm.
- Coordinate design, procurement, and site delivery while maintaining client relationships.
This is an opportunity to join an established national design and construction consultancy delivering office fit-out projects across Brisbane up to $10m.
The business is looking for an up-and-coming Project Manager who can take responsibility for two or three projects at a time. Projects will typically range from approximately 300 sqm to 1,000 sqm and involve managing the full D&C process.
You may already have one or two years of experience as a Project Manager, or you could be working as a Project Coordinator or Contract Administrator without a clear pathway into project management. The role could also suit a Site Manager who has been running fit-out projects and is ready to take responsibility for contracts, financials, clients and the broader delivery process.
To be considered, you will have worked for a head contractor as a Project Manager, Contract Administrator, Project Coordinator or Site Manager. You must have delivered commercial fit-out projects through to completion, understand the full delivery process and be ready to step into the business and run relevant projects.
This includes coordinating design, procurement and site delivery, maintaining client and subcontractor relationships, managing costs and programmes, and keeping several smaller projects moving at once.
You do not need ten years of project management experience. The business can provide guidance and development, but you will need practical construction knowledge, a strong work ethic and a sound understanding of D&C delivery.
The company has been operating for nearly 30 years and provides strategy, design and construction services under one roof. It has grown steadily, has little staff turnover and has built an excellent reputation within the market. Its people work within a professional and collaborative environment where communication, accountability and camaraderie are important.
This is a good opportunity for someone who wants greater responsibility, a genuine pathway forward and the stability to develop with the same business over the longer term.
