Based in Brisbane, this long-term contract opportunity will see you play a key role in the delivery of Remote Control Dozer projects that enhance safety, productivity and operational performance across mine sites.
Your New RoleAs a Project Engineer - Electrical, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of electrical, communications, control systems and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure projects that support the deployment of Remote Control Dozers across mining operations.A key focus of this role will be the design, construction, commissioning and handover of remote operations control rooms and associated infrastructure that enables Non-Line-of-Sight (NLoS) dozer operations. Working closely with technical and operational stakeholders, you will drive projects from concept through to operational handover while ensuring safety, quality and project objectives are achieved.Key responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end delivery of electrical infrastructure and capital projects.
- Managing the development and execution of stockpile remote operations control rooms.
- Coordinating electrical, communications, networking, OT and control system interfaces.
- Managing engineering consultants, contractors, vendors and project budgets.
- Ensuring compliance with safety requirements, engineering standards and governance processes.
- Supporting commissioning, operational readiness activities, training and project handover.
- Collaborating with Mining, Technology, Operations, Safety and Maintenance teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification supported by project delivery experience.
- Experience delivering electrical infrastructure, brownfield or capital projects within mining, resources, industrial or heavy industry environments.
- Strong project management, contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Exposure to remote operations, communications networks, automation, control systems or Operational Technology environments will be highly regarded.
