About the role You’ll lead the day-to-day operation of the Produce department, driving freshness, presentation, availability, sales and team performance .
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading, coaching and developing your team
- Managing stock, ordering, rotation and waste
- Driving sales, margins and department KPIs
- Maintaining exceptional fresh food standards
- Ensuring food safety and compliance
- Creating a great experience for customers and your team
About You
You'll be a hands-on leader who enjoys working with fresh food and creating an exceptional customer experience.
You'll bring :
- Previous experience managing a Produce or Fresh Food department within a supermarket
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce, stock control and merchandising
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams
- Commercial awareness with experience achieving sales and margin targets
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
