About the role

Wintringham’s Gilgunya site is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join our team. Bring your passion for well-being to our close-knit community, fostering a warm and supportive environment for our residents. Reporting to the Residential Site manager, responsibilities include:

• Assist residents with personal care, including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming and other activities of daily living 
• Continence management, bathing and washing residents, grooming and shaving
• Provide social and emotional support to residents (person centred holistic care) 
• Resident Social Activities: Assist residents to take part in social activities like recreational activities 
• Assist residents to access services they require 

What are we looking for?

• First Aid Certificate – CPR 
• Food Safety – Level 1 as required 
• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) 
• Knowledge and understanding of the special needs of older people 
• The ability to enhance or maintain our residents’ independence and lifestyle
• A friendly and non-judgmental attitude

What we offer

Employment type: Part Time Role

Pay: $36.93 - $43.88 /hour (depending on your quals & experience) plus super. Above Award pay and not-for-profit salary packaging benefits of up to $18,500 each year.

Location: Gilgunya Residential Aged Care – Coburg (VIC)

Roster/hours of work: 8 shifts per fortnight

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, (22:30 – 06:00)

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, (22:30 – 06:00)
