Your new company
Our client is looking for an end-to-end payroll officer to join their team.
Your new role
Coordinate the fortnightly pay cycle from data entry through to finalisationCheck and process time sheets, deductions, back payments, salary packaging and employee entitlements.
Calculate termination-related payments, payroll projections and other employment costs
Balance payroll accounts and complete scheduled monthly and annual reporting
Keep employee records and payroll data accurate, current and confidential
Apply relevant employment agreements, awards and legislative requirements when processing pay
Assist employees with payroll questions and explain calculations or changes clearly.
Contribute to transactional finance tasks, including invoices, reimbursements, creditor payments and bank reconciliations
What you'll need to succeed
Previous responsibility for managing a complete payroll cycle in a medium or large workplace
Practical knowledge of Australian tax, superannuation and payroll compliance obligations
The ability to apply modern awards and enterprise agreements accurately
