Operator

The Role
We’re looking for reliable and motivated Forklift Operators to join our production team in Archerfield. You’ll be involved in operating advanced roll-forming lines and production machinery, handling sheet metal materials, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards. Full on-the-job training and support will be provided.

Day Shift: $33-$34p/h
  

• Monday to Thursday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
• Friday 6:00 am – 12:00 pm

Afternoon Shift: $38-$40p/h

• Monday–Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

  
Key Responsibilities

• Feed sheet metal into and out of production machinery and advanced roll-forming lines.
• Apply adhesive coatings and protective films to sheet metal products.
• Perform manual handling, packing, strapping, and quality checks.
• Operate gantry cranes, with training provided where required.
• Safely move and position sheet metal coils around the workshop and load them onto production mills using a forklift, where licensed.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in manufacturing, sheet metal, or operating production machinery is an advantage.
• Current forklift licence.
• Experience with roll-forming machinery, gantry cranes, or material handling is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Reliable, physically capable, and able to work effectively in a team.
• Comfortable with manual handling tasks, with work generally performed at waist height.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to production requirements and shift work.
